Beyond Worlds

Konrad Mägi Monument Competition,

A two-part, materially grounded intervention in Tartu Town Hall Square and the backyard of Konrad Mägi’s studio. Beyond Worlds juxtaposed public prestige with the ambivalence of his private life, while pointing to the tension between the hardships of urban life and the sublimity of nature in Konrad Mägi’s life and work.

Core concerns: public prestige and private life; the hardships of urban life and the sublimity of nature; monument and backyard.
